Stop CETA at Canada House

Trafalgar Square, London. Sat17 Sep 2016

In Trafalgar Square, close to Canada House, people handed out leaflets and collected signatures against CETA

There is huge public opposition to this trade treaty between Canada and the EU in some countries - with a
protest today by 250,000 people in Germany

A large banner #noCETA on the corner of the block containing Canada House

CETA has similar provisions to TTIP, and would allow companies to overrule governments

CETA is a clear threat to democracy. A poster lists some of the things which the protesters think essential to change it

A choir sang songs against CETA. Canada House with Canadian flagss around it is in the background

CETA (like TTIP) has been negotiated in secret and demnocratic debates have not been allowed
