16-17 Year olds demand the vote

Trafalgar Square, London. Sun 3 Jul 2016

Young protesters pose for a group photo in Trafalgar Square before marching

'Votes at 16 - Let's All fight' and a protester has folded her poster to hide the Socialist Party logo.

The Socialist Party supported the protest, bringing posters and a megaphone, but few at the protest were party members

 Marching down Whitehall

 (Boris) 'Clean up your Mess'

Leading the chanting 'Our Future Our Vote' opposite Downing St

and Issy Anthony leads the marchers into the centre of Parliament Square

where they held a long rally on the paved area next to the statue of Churchill

'Amy, Sex, Vote, Alcohol, Work' at 16 you can do all except vote

Georgia Gould, a Camden Labour councillor and author of Wasted, one of two adults who took the opportunity to speak

and the other was an actress

One of the speakers intrduced himself as a Tory, and was I think in favour of Brexit, but supported votes at 16
