Carmen, who had to interrupt her nursing studies and hopes to go back to train as a midwife tells us she will not be able to afford to do so if the bursaries are axed. She has wanted to be a midwife since she was five.

Midwives listen

Winvisible supporters

Ann Corry spoke movingly about her experiences as a NHS patient, and the nurses who had looked after her

Her daughter, Helen Corry, who had earlier read a poem about nursing is supported by Danielle Tiplady as
her mother speaks about the difficulties surrounding her birth

Finally it was Paula Peters of DPAC's turn to speak

with a powerful indictment of the government's policies against the disabled, the sick and the elderly, and a

stirring inspiration to fight together against them. DPAC have been on the streets with 'Bursary or Bust' and will

continue to fight with them.
