Valentines Israeli Blood Diamonds protest

Old Bond St, London. Sat 26 Feb 2016

A protester explains how buying diamonds from Israel supports massacres of children in Gaza

Steinmetz Diamond Group supports the Israeli military both through its taxes and also a special relationship with an Israel brigade accused of war crimes

Protesters call for a boycott of Israeli Blood Diamonds

in front of De Beers on Old Bond St

Another of the protesters, dressed in black and with a black hat with a veil reads more about the relationship between

companies selling Israeli diamonds and the war crimes against civilians in Gaza

A protester makes a victory sign as I photograph him

The remaining members of the Samouni family - 29 of them were killed by the Israeli Army Givati Brigade

wrote a letter to the Queen, which was ignored.

Apart from speeches there was some loud shouting of slogans against buying blood diamonds and some Palestinian music

and people also handed out leaflets. The protest with its large Palestinian flags attracted some attention with

people stopping to listen and taking pictures as well as taking and reading the flyers

As I was leaving the protesters moved further along the street
to protest at other shops selling Israeli blood diamonds including Tiffany
