'Santa's Naughty List' Living Wage

Brixton, London. Sat 13 Dec 2014

Protesters gather outside the door of Morleys

Unison had provided a Santa costume and placards. One protester had a t-shirt calling for the minimum wage to be raised to £10 now

The protest began on the busy street opposite Brixton Underground station

Santa walks into Morley Stores with a placard 'Lambeth Needs a Pay Rise'

followed by NSSN chair Rob Williams with union membership forms and a woman with a megaphone

They walked along the ground floor of the store handing out flyers and forms

The protesters then went to Subway, just off the main road and went in there

From Morleys they went a few shops up the road

and into Poundland

They were soon asked to leave

but handed out forms as they did so

and continued the protest outside before moving on to other shops that don't pay staff a living wage.
