Democracy Camp takes the Square

Parliament Square, London. Sat 18 Oct 2014

Heritage Warden and Westminster Council officials look on

as the protesters continue. John McDonnell MP has now joined them

and is talking to George Barda

'Don't let the Bastards Grind You Down'

Police vans are linedup along one side of the square, with others on nearby streets

A heritage warden runs across as protesters run over the grass with anarchist flags

and they are followed by others with the two towers carried on the TUC march

Which are then erected on the grass, with a small crowd of protesters gathering around them

Both towers are quickly in place and the Long 'Real Democracy Now!' banner is also on the grass

And the start of the afternoon rally is announced

with John McDonnell MP as the first speaker

I'm sure the speech will be online somewhere and is worth listening to
