Peckham Jobcentre - why penalise jobseekers?

Peckham Rd, London. Fri 30 May 2014

 The protest continues

 and eventually two police arrive

and ask some questions about what the protesters are doing and if they have permission

which the protesters know they do not need

The police go into the jobcentre

and talk with the people inside

 while the protest continues

The police come out

and start to argue with the protesters

They want them to take any material off the building wall

but the protesters tell them they will remove it when they leave

and that if the people inside are worried by it they can come out and take the posters off the wall themselves

The police are not happy, but eventually they go back inside, and then walk away down the street
