Cyclists Protest Olympic Towpath Closure

Leyton Marsh & Lea Navigation, London. Sunday 22 Jul 2012

More people have the mini-banners pinned on

G4S are obviously worried that people might take to the Lea Navigation in these paddling pools

The protest is having a barbecue

The G4S navy watches the paddling pools

and we get some fine live music

More cyclists are stopped and try to make sense of the notice

There isn't really a sensible alternative route for cyclists - the only other would be along the
Greenway, closed months ago for the Olympics

Bikes and the 10 ft electrified fence

Another group of cyclists finds its path blocked

For years there was the 'Olympic Kebab' in Hackney Wick, but now it is the Station Kebab. Why?

Part of the Olympic site from the train to Stratford

Westfield with Olympic advertising from Stratford Station
