Church Street has some of the older remaining buildings in Staines The Wyradisbury (or Wraysbury) River, one of the streams of the Colne, runs between a housing development and a shopping centre The aqueduct which takes water from the River Thames at Wraysbury to the Staines Reservoirs Commoners have grazing rights on the Moor. Many of the animals have been taken off because of the weather The River Colne on Staines Moor - and pylons. Usually you can see (and hear) planes taking off from Heathrow. In wet weather parts of the moor are flooded or boggy and you need to keep to the slightly raise paths. But no problems today |
