Lea Navigation & Olympic Site

Bow & Stratford Marsh. Saturday 1 October 2011

  Stratford

Stratford High Road is being rebuilt

A bridge to carry Olympic crowds walking from West Ham

The Yardley mural dwarfed by a huge black behind; fences still bar this section of the Greenway making a detour necessary

For sale - and doubtless soon to be another tall block of flats

  M&S get into Olympic mood

Waterworks River goes under Stratford High St and becomes the Three Mills Wall River

City Mill Lock and St Thomas Creek

City Mill River - gate leading down to Waterworks River

City Mill Lock

Dane Group of Companies in Sugar House Lane

Looking towards a largely new Stratford

I photographed working barges here around 30 years ago

The start of the new suspended walkway under the Bow Flyover at the grandly named Global Approach
