	Downing St Protest at Netanyahu talks Downing St, Whitehall, London. Tuesday 25 August The two lines faced each other - with room for photographers to walk between!

	Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods reminded us it's kosher to do so
	And on the 'legal' side of the road, some ultra-orthodox Jews reminded us that they oppose Zionism

	And support the right of the Palestinians to reclaim their land, homes and property

			One elderly lady was confused by their presence and joined in the demonstration with an Israeli flag. People tried to explain to her, then simply ignored her. After about half an hour a policeman insisted she put her flag away in her bag. After police reinforcements arrived. Chris Nineham of Stop the War told everyone they should go back across the road - and was ignored But police then pushed everyone across Whitehall, usually fairly gently In the confusion, police were able to arrest 3 of the people warned earlier without most of us noticing The demonstration continued on the other side of the road. Later I heart that there were two further arrests made later, but that all five were freed between 11pm and midnight, having been detained for around 9 hours.
