Stop the Gaza Massacre - National March

Hyde Park to Israeli Embassy, London, Saturday 10 Jan

Guarding the Israeli Embassy (one entrance is down the street behind the vans.)
Marchers were only allowed behind where I was standing, creating a bottleneck here that virtually stopped the march.

The front of the march stopped for a few minutes here, and several march stewards assaulted me and tried to prevent me taking pictures

Other stewards apologised for their behaviour

The front of the march moved on and an angry crowd blocked the road

shouting slogans

and a few shoes and placards were thrown

At the front of the crowd I saw batons raised as some marchers climbed the barriers, but I couldn't get a clear view to photograph

People began to burn posters showing the 'World's ##1 Terrorist'

Things were beginning to get a bit heated!

I had to leave early to go elsewhere. Further along the road things were much quieter

and some demonstrators were saying afternoon prayers
