The Iona Nunnery was left in ruins when the Abbey was restored, possibly becasue there was less remaining St Ronan Church in the Nunnery grounds at left of picture is used as a store for masonery |

It is closer to the center of the village than the Abbey, and nuns were probably more involved with village life |
|||
|

This is the post office with its vintage post box |

A post office van no comes to Iona and the bike is rusty and covered with cobwebs |
