Journey to Justice - Drop the Debt 10 Years On

Birmingham. Sunday 18 May, 2008

Our coach started at 8.15 from St Margarets, and their local MP Vincent Cable came to see us off

We picked up more people at Ealing Common and a last one at Hillingdon, but then unaccountably took the M25 to the M1

And arrived in Birmingham half an hour later than expected. We changed our plans and went to St Philip’s Anglican cathedral, a fine Georgian building with Victorian stained glass by Burne-Jones, where Daleep Mukarji Director of Christian Aid was speaking.

Linda has a word with Daleep Mukarji after the service

Our walk from the cathedral to Centenary Square took us past most of the buildings on Birmingham's Heritage trail, including the Council House

Before we arrived at Centenary Square

Where the Azad Dhol Group were playing as we arrived.
