 This 1832 bridge and one linking Buda and Pest in BUdapest are the only surviving examples of suspension bridges built by William Tierney Clark. Saved from demolition by local protests, it was reconstructed in 1965. I can find no explanation for the series of plaques fixed below it , one of which is shown below. These have an image of a swan surrounded by a buckled belt; on it is 'SIGIL.DE.DESBRO.' and above it the date, 1860. |

 There are something like 50 or them across the bridge  and some rether nice flower shapes on top of the railings  and at each end of the brdge are decorative lamps on carved stone posts.  Marlow Road, Marlow Bridge andAll Saints Marlow.

 12 tons of Akeler sundial in the May Balfour garden in front of Marlow Place in Marlow  Station Jim was a dog who collected money for charity at Slough Station at the end of the 19th century, and when he died in 1896, passengers from Slough and railway staff contributed to have him stuffed and put in a case on the up platform. |
