	Samuel Banner, inventor of white spirit, founded the company in 1860.
	Activities here are to be relocated to Teeside. Hardly a contribution to regeneration of the Lea Valley.
	Smaller companies who are only tenants may get little compensation or help to find suitable premises.
		The CPO was confirmed in December and they will have to be out of the area by July 2007
		Views from the top of the Northern Outfall sewer, the 'Greenway' track and cycle path that runs through the centre of the area. Relatively large areas are occupied by scrapyards and other car recycling activities. There is also some dumping, but most of the area is actually relatively clear and pleasant to walk in, despite the various industrial activities and site clearance..
